September
September was a little quieter - like many people in the PNW I love summer but it also feels so short - we've got these few months of sun and lots of daylight and it feels like you've got to cram in all the fun things that you can. I love it, but it's also a bit exhausting. As the days get shorter and fall starts, it's nice to start some home projects and go back to some indoor hobbies.
I did get out on two more camping trips, both doing trail work on Mt Hood with Trailkeepers of Oregon. One over night up to Vista Ridge to cut out some downed trees and two nights at Burnt Lake to do some brushing and trail repairs. Trail work is hard but it's gotten me out to so many new to me trails and I've gotten to meet so many great people.

I also finally had time to get back to some watercolor painting. I've been taking lessons since January and am slowly getting the hang of it. This is from one of the classes. A mossy waterfall study with watercolor and ink. It only uses four colors and it's amazing what you can do with a limited palette
